Serenity

I always love the journey of building a successful home business and how personal development is so entwined in this success. I spend time each day study all the different resources out there and have been given a book sometime ago from Bob Proctor. This book is called "As a Man Thinketh" by James Allen. When I was given this book it was suggested that I read the last chapter everyday and it is a great practice. This little chapter continually reminds me to calm down, not slow down. When you are calm your creative thoughts can flow freely, this is the power. These thoughts are the money makers and if you want to have a successful network marketing home business then read this chapter each day. So here is the chapter print it and read it every day, I am sure you will find great rewards in this practice.

Serenity – "As a Man Thinketh" by James Allen

Calmness of mind is one of the beautiful jewels of wisdom. It is the result of long and patient effort in self control. Its presence is an indication of ripened experience, and of a more that ordinary knowledge of the laws and operations of thought.

A man becomes calm in the measure that he understands himself as a thought-evolved being, for such knowledge necessitates the understanding of other as the result of thought, and as he develops a right understanding, and sees more and more clearly the internal relations of things by the action of cause and effect, he ceases to fuss and fume and worry and grieve, and remains poised, steadfast, serene.

The calm man, having learned how to govern himself, know how to adapt himself to others; and they, in turn, reverence his spiritual strength, and feel that they can learn of him and rely upon him. The more tranquil a man becomes, the greater is his success, his influence, his power for good. Even the ordinary trader will find his business prosperity increase as he develops a greater self-control and equanimity, for people will always prefer to deal with a man whose demeanor is strongly equable.

The Strong, calm man is always loved and revered. He is like a shade-giving tree in a thirsty land, or a sheltering rock in a storm. "Who does not love a tranquil heart, a sweet-tempered, balance life? It does not matter whether it rains or shines, or what changes come to those possessing these blessings, for they are always sweet, serene, and calm. That exquisite poise of character which we call serenity is the last lesson of culture; it is the flowering of life, the fruitage of the soul. It is precious as wisdom, more to be desired than gold- yea, than even fine gold. How insignificant mere money-seeking looks in comparison with a serene life- a life that dwells in the ocean of Truth, beneath the wave, beyond the reach of tempests, in the Eternal Calm!

"How many people we know who sour their lives, who ruin all that is sweet and beautiful by explosive tempers, who destroy their poise of character, and make bad blood! It is a question whether the great majority of people do not ruin their lives and mar their happiness by lack of self-control. How few people we meet in life who are well-balanced, who have that exquisite poise which is characteristic of the finished character!"

Yes, humanity surges with uncontrolled passion, is tumultuous with ungoverned grief, is blown about by anxiety and doubt. Only the wise man, only he whose thoughts are controlled and purified, makes the winds and the storms of the soul obey him.

Tempest-tossed souls, wherever ye may be, under whatsoever conditions ye may live, know this – in the ocean of life the isles of Blessedness are smiling, and the sunny shore of your ideal awaits your coming. Keep your hand firmly upon the helm of thought. In the barque of your soul reclines the commanding Master; He does but sleep; wake Him. Self-control is strength; Right Thought is mastery; Calmness is power. Say unto your heart, "Peace be still!"

Leadership and Lifestyle

"Leadership is not personality, title or endowment. Leadership is a price and the price begins with ALONENESS." (Charlie "Tremendous" Jones) I love this quote because it reflects the way we often feel with our home business.

Matthew and I both have so much time and flexibility with our home business. However, the masses all work a 9-5 J.O.B’s and they spend their weekends rushing around with the crowds shopping, getting kids to weekend activities and loathing the Monday work week. The leadership we show is there is another way. You can enjoy your life and make a multiple 6 figure income as well.

Do you realize that success, and I am talking true success, only happens to 3-5% of the masses. Now some of you may say what is success? Well I like how Earl Nightingale puts it "Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal". Our successful home business lifestyle allows us to go shopping in the middle of the day on a Monday, taking the kids to the fire hall for school field trips and spending 6 weeks on the beach in Baja in the middle of winter, come home from that and go to Australia and more, these are just some of the things we did this year alone! So the price we pay is small, because in return for this solitude is an attitude of gratitude and freedom. We are able to be present in our lives as well as the lives of our children's. Now if being present in your children's lives or living life on your terms is not a worthy ideal then what is? Live the life you want, that is your responsibility, and you can be the 3-5% if you choose to make the change.

Law of Supply

I have been reading a great book called "Working with the Law" by Raymond Holliwell. And as I said last week I will be putting together an article about each of the laws covered in this book. These laws will assist you in creating a multiple 6 figure income home business, or creating any lifestyle you choose.

This week's law is "Law of Supply", comes from an email I received yesterday with this great story about this law so I decided to post the reprint of this great article.

Law of Supply

Have you ever run a race, or worked at utmost capacity for a protracted period, or swum a great distance? Remember how, soon after starting, you began to feel tired? Remember how, before you had gone any distance, you thought you had reached your limit? But remember, too, how, when you kept on going, you got your second wind, your tiredness vanished, your muscles throbbed with energy, you felt literally charged with speed and endurance?

Stored in every human being are great reserves of energy of which the average individual knows nothing. Most people are like a man who drives a car in low gear, not knowing that by the simple shift of a lever he can set it in high and not merely speed up the car, but do it with far less expenditure of power.

The law of the universe is the Law of Supply. You see it on every hand. Nature is lavish in everything she does. There is abundance for everyone. But just as you must strain and labor to reach the resources of your "second wind," just so you must strive before you can manifest the law of supply in nature.

The world belongs to you. It is your estate. It owes you not merely a living, but everything of good you may desire. You've got to demand these things of it, though. You've got to fear naught, dread naught, stop at naught. You've got to dominate - not to cringe. You've got to make the application of the Law of supply.

"Consider the lilies how they grow." The flowers, the birds, all of creation, are incessantly active. The trees and flowers in their growth, the birds and wild creatures in building their nests and finding sustenance, are always working - but never worrying. "Your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things." "And all these things shall be added unto you."

If all would agree to give up worrying - to be industrious, but never anxious about the outcome - it would mean the beginning of a new era in human progress, an age of liberty, of freedom from bondage. Jesus set forth the universal Law of supply when he said, "Therefore I say unto you, be not anxious for the morrow, what ye shall eat, or wherewithal ye shall be clothed - but seek first the kingdom of God, and all those things shall be added unto you."

Why is it, then, that so many millions of men and women go through life in poverty and misery, in sickness and despair? Why? Primarily because they make a reality of poverty through their fear of it, they visualize poverty, misery and disease, and thus bring them into being. And secondly, they cannot demonstrate the Law of Supply for the same reason that so many millions cannot solve the first problem in algebra. The solution is simple - but they have never been shown the method. They do not understand the law. The power is placed in hands so taken up with other things that they have no time to seize it.

The essence of the law is that you must think abundance, see abundance, feel abundance, believe abundance. Let no thought of limitation enter your mind. There is no lawful desire of yours for which, as far as mind is concerned, there is not abundant satisfaction. And if you can visualize it in mind, you can realize it in your daily world. Use this power to create the home business you want, the lifestyle you want or a multiple 6 figure income!

Control your thinking, home business success!

We have learned about the Law of Attraction through many sources lately. Man of us have found if we us this "Law" we can manifest a better life. However, why do some people still say that the success they seek is still not manifesting. This can be many things but one thing is that just following the "Law of Attraction" may not always work. There are more laws that we need to incorporate into our daily lives. Over the coming weeks I will cover some of these and demonstrate how it has enabled my wife and I to achieve success in creating our home business and enable us to generate a multiple 6 figure income and living the lifestyle just a year ago we dreamed about.

The Law of Thinking

You see to most people life seems to be a deep mystery. Life is the way it is and for most they settle for what has been given to them. However, understand the laws and it is no longer a mystery and we can then realize that we can have any life we choose.

We are progressive, a creature of constant growth. We cannot stay in one place if we are not improving our lives then our lives are disintegrating. The progress that we seek is controlled by our ruling state of mind. This is so because our mind is the governing power or our life. Our attention needs to be give to this mental state for it will regulate all or our actions and results in our life.

If our ruling state of mind is progressive, aspiring, harmonious and positive then all the powers will be directed to create these results in our lives. However, if your mental state is negative, downward, then you can expect that will be the results you see in your life. Our thinking power is what will determine our state of living. As we think we set a power into motion far and near. This power will affect our welfare and often affects the others we think about. This is the power that makes all our life become what we want.

If we take the thought of success, keep it in our mind, hold the thought in everything we do we will attract like thoughts, for "like attracts like". We will draw the universal power thoughts of success. We will psychically contact minds who think along the same lines. You will find that this will bring success to our lives. Therefore, have a successful mind and success will come to you. This is how successful living is founded, "The Law of Thinking" is in perpetual operation, and it works both ways.

People think we must deal with two forces. That is to attract success we do away with failure. This is wrong because success and failure are two sides of the same thing. You cannot think of success then worry about the current unfavorable conditions you may have. We must then think about success, and as we think about success, failure, it's opposite, will become absorbed. The method is not dealing with two powers, prosperity and poverty, we follow the Law of Good and dwell on prosperity then we shall bring prosperity into our lives.

The first question in our creation of a multiple 6 figure income or building a successful home business is, are we controlled by our thoughts, or our are we controlling our thoughts? To create the lifestyle we want we must first use our thoughts for gain.

To gain a successful home business lifestyle we must first have a disciplined orderly, constructive state of mind. You must be of calm mind and orderly in your thoughts. "Anything in life that dominates us, makes us a servant to its dictates". It's true; life is your playground as long as you think it is!
